The 4 Rules to Build a Strong Business Mind

Mind Your Mindset

Whether it’s in business or employment, we all have our state of mind to keep ourselves sane during peak times when we’re getting a lot of work or probably facing a lot of struggles when doing our “job”. I call it that because it doesn’t matter if you’re an owner of a restaurant, a sales clerk, or a coach — there’s one thing that we all have in common… and this one thing determines whether we succeed or not.

Today, we’ll be talking about six rules to build a strong business mind for yourself. These six rules will immediately improve the way you look inward and help you become the leader that you are in this world. We’ll be taking some deep dives into how you can condition yourself to become a leader that people want to follow naturally and these rules will also help you control your state of mind especially when the going gets tough.

You’ll start learning how you can retrieve your “power” and start changing yourself and the people you want to attract as well.

Finally, we’ll also be talking about some things that you might be doing to sabotage your success, and you might not even be aware that you’re doing them!

At the end of the blog post, I also have a special bonus waiting for you so definitely read until the end!

Are you ready?

#1 — Stop Overwhelming Yourself

One of the most important things about being a leader is that you are always thinking, always on top of everything, and continuously innovating new ideas and finding ways to solve problems in your industry. So, it’s not a surprise that you might get overwhelmed with all this responsibility that’s placed on your shoulders.

So how do you avoid that?

Honestly? You can’t. It’s always there, and it’s always going to be there. That’s your responsibility as a leader in your industry; however, the best thing to do is to accept that responsibility. It’s different when you say you know it’s your responsibility vs saying to yourself that you accept it. Remember that!

For CEO’s, we all know that our company is our responsibility. We only get stressed if we think about it as “another job to do”. Usually, this happens when the business isn’t going the way we want it to go. We feel obligated to keep the business alive, and we have nothing to receive for it. But the thing is — that’s the way things are. There will be challenges when you are trying to expand your business. This works the same way if you’re working at a job or even if you’re freelancing.

The key here is to accept it.

If you know that there are going to be challenges along the way, you’re mentally ready to face them. And, when there are no problems at all, it keeps you on your toes and improves effectiveness while you’re improving your companies’ culture, systems and operations.

Another way to stop overwhelming yourself is to…

#2 — Don’t Do It All By Yourself

We think that because we are leaders in our industry, we need to have all the answers. All the solutions. All the knowledge to solve all the problems in the company… but that’s the furthest from the truth.

The most challenging part - especially when we start scaling our businesses - is to manage your own time while being able to do everything you need in the company. Most of the time, we think that if we can just do everything ourselves, we won’t have to pay someone else or hire additional people but that’s a huge misconception right there.

While it does save on the bills, you don’t save your time… and that’s an even more expensive resource you’re wasting. Remember — no matter how much money you make; you can never buy a single minute of your life back.

The solution? Invest in people who are better than you. Especially during this pandemic that’s going on — a lot of people don’t have their jobs anymore, and people are trying to transition to an online workspace without any success. Many of these people have real talent, real skill, and sometimes, there are these hidden gems that can transform your business into a huge success story.

Invest in these people and focus on what you’re good at and what you love to do. If that’s marketing, then pour your soul into doing your company’s marketing. If you’re good at talking to people, focus on that instead of learning how to troubleshoot your website or how to do your graphics. It’s not new, but a lot of people often think they’re saving money by not hiring others, but it’s the other way around. You’re potentially losing almost half of what you could be making if you only hired that one person to do the small stuff and then another and so on.

#3 — Listen More

You’d be surprised at how much I learned on how to improve my business by almost ten-fold simply by listening to people, listening to my followers, listening to other successful people, and even by listening to the feedback of the people I work with.

Like I mentioned earlier, a leader doesn’t need to know everything. But a good leader knows how to listen. And it’s not just as a courtesy either. The point of honing your listening skills is because leadership, in general, is a people skill. To be an effective leader, people need to know why they’re following your example. People need to recognise that what you are doing is for them. And by listening to the people you work with, or you do business with, they realise that you have the insight to understand where they are coming from and be able to lead from there.

For the longest time, I always thought that being an influencer was simply someone who could create a trend easily, and people just follow, but it’s the other way around. They get to create trends that stick and trends that matter because they listen to what the people around them want. When are you going to start listening?

#4 — Challenge Yourself

Nothing makes a leader better than to take more challenges. NO — not more work. More challenges. What I mean by that is to create goals. Create milestones that make sense and build your business stronger. If your business is successfully generating multiple 6-figure a year, maybe it’s time to aim for a more significant income goal. If you’ve been getting a consistent stream of clients at your current rates, then perhaps the next challenge is to double that amount.

There are a lot of ways to challenge yourself to build your business stronger. Those are simply a few examples.

You can build goals that are relevant to others — not just for you. For example, your goal for this year is to get a team of 20 dedicated people to help you grow your business. Or maybe raise enough money to be able to sponsor an event. Building a good name for yourself is also a great way to get more business opportunities to grow.

So what’s next for me?

Arguably, the only thing that’s hindering your business’s growth and potential is yourself—no one else. Not any circumstance, not the pandemic, not the economy — it’s yourself… and the faster you accept that, the quicker you can do something about it.

Don’t wait until the problem becomes too big to handle.

As an entrepreneur, we’re all leaders in our respective industries…but in the daily challenges and as our company grows, it gets easy to get lost and lose confidence in yourself, your vision, and what you’re here to create.

But what if we can change that? What if there was a way to get back your power and start growing your business again?

On September 26th, 2020, I’m launching a limited private session where we talk about my six pillars of Self-Actualised leadership. In this masterclass, you'll discover how to have increased resilience, release internal stress, and equip yourself with essential tools to take back your power and start making decisions as the leader who executes actions as the 7-figure CEO and not the 6-figure hustler

What would it mean for you and your business to start claiming the leadership that you’re meant to have? What would getting more sales contribute to your business?

Also, I should mention that this isn’t for someone who’s in it to make a quick buck — this is going to be an intensive two-day event that’s geared towards bringing out the leader that’s trapped inside of you. That’s the part within yourself that so desperately wants to get out and be seen and heard so he/she can take you and your company to your next level of impact, influence and prosperity.
